Creating Learning Objects

- Complete your eBook Digital Story.
- Use some time exploring Learning Objects and make a decision as to which one you wish to create. The choice is yours, and you will have class time next week to work on this. Exploring this before class gives you more time in class to work!
LINKS YOU WILL NEED DURING Week 9 CLASS
Before Class Starts:
- Go to our DELICIOUS bookmarks (use the link in the upper right corner) and type in the tag “session9” (no spaces between the word session and the number 9) to find the ISSUU magazine that holds the Collaborative Work created by teacher candidates in previous classes
Housekeeping:
- Checking Tweets – do you have 10?
- Surprise Quiz – no need to study <grin>
Setting the Stage Activity:
- Review of learning objects and their purpose
Core Learning Activity:
- Constructing a learning object for student use (check out the Learning Object Guides in the QuickSteps – HELP )
Closure Activity:
- Google Docs Closure
BEFORE NEXT CLASS – Week 10
- Read Chapter 8 in your eTextbook.
- Complete your Learning Object and add to your Digital Portfolio.
- You should have completed your PLN Assignment Guide.
- You will be providing input into your professionalism mark – a collaborative mark between you and your instructor. You will be completing a form, but you may with to provide your instructor with additional comments. Go to ISAAK and click on the Assignments tab. In the Professionalism assignment, you will be able to provide any comments – this is optional!!
- Review your Digital Portfolio using the Digital Portfolio Assignment Guide & Rubric – what are you missing? Are there questions that you have? Next week is the last week – make sure you are ready <grin>!!
