What are Family Tree Diagrams?
A Family Tree diagram is a hierarchical diagram showing ancestry. Enchanted Learning describes the relationship between the tree-like construction of the diagram as "The tree trunk represents the main topic, and the branches represent relevant facts, factors, influences, traits, people, or outcomes." An excellent example is located on the Score Graphic Organizer site at http://www.sdcoe.k12.ca.us/score/actbank/tfamtree.htm.
