What is a Simulation?

The Handheld Educator, Vol. 3, Part 20, explains "Simulations create sets of conditions or real-life events convincingly, especially for the purpose of training. With them, we try out scenarios to see what might happen, and we take risks because the stakes aren’t real. Thus we learn from virtual experience."

Check out the Frog Dissection at http://www.froguts.com/flash_content/index.html and click on the Demos button. Then, try the electric circuit simulator at http://www.article19.com/shockwave/oz.htm. Other topics can be searched for available online simulations using the Computer Simulator Search Engine at http://www.techsparc.com/sparc/computersimulations.htm.
