What is a Web Inquiry Project?
Similar to WebQuests (see definition above) which use structured inquiry methods, Web Inquiry Projects require the learner to use online uninterpreted resources, such as primary sources, weather information, sports statistics, music lyrics, etc., to allow learners to pursue the answer to questions that are initiated by the learner. Learners may be guided by the structure of the project, but unlike WebQuests, the learner initiates the questions that will be answered by the project research.
